Bitcoin ETFs draw $110M as ETH, SOL and XRP see outflows
U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds took in a net $110.34 million on October 26, ending two sessions of withdrawals, according to SoSoValue data reported by TokenPost, Wu Blockchain and Cointelegraph. Spot ether, Solana and XRP funds moved the other way, with net outflows of $88.58 million, $8.23 million and $3.61 million.
What happened
BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) accounted for the entire Bitcoin inflow. TokenPost said IBIT was the only one of 12 U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs to post an inflow that day. Wu Blockchain described the $110 million intake as "entirely driven by BlackRock's IBIT," and put the fund's cumulative net inflows at $66.24 billion. PANews, also citing SoSoValue, reported the same picture: a $110 million group inflow, all of it in IBIT, with historical net inflows for that fund at $66.244 billion.
After the session, spot Bitcoin ETFs held $102.84 billion in net assets, about 6.41% of Bitcoin's market value, TokenPost and PANews reported. Cumulative net inflows stood at $57.29 billion. Trading volume across the Bitcoin funds was $1.86 billion, led by IBIT at $1.38 billion, Fidelity's FBTC at $217.40 million and Grayscale's GBTC at $81.24 million, according to TokenPost. IBIT's own net assets were $64.80 billion, ahead of FBTC at $14.05 billion and GBTC at $10.01 billion.
The ether outflow was not uniform across issuers. Wu Blockchain said Fidelity's FETH led individual inflows with $16.13 million. PANews put the day's ether total at $88.5769 million in net redemptions, with BlackRock's ETHA the largest single outflow at about $105 million and FETH the largest inflow at $16.1295 million. PANews also reported ether ETF net assets of $14.067 billion, or 4.99% of ether's market value, and cumulative net inflows of $12.631 billion.
Solana and XRP funds were smaller in dollar terms but still negative. Cointelegraph listed $8.23 million in Solana outflows and $3.61 million in XRP outflows. CoinGabbar, citing SoSoValue, added fund-level detail: Bitwise led the Solana withdrawals at $7.22 million and Grayscale at $1.83 million, while a Morgan Stanley Solana fund took in $817,710. CoinGabbar also said the XRP outflow was the fourth of October and was led by Bitwise, with cumulative XRP ETF inflows at $1.80 billion and net assets at $1.47 billion.
Why it matters
A positive group total that comes from a single fund is a narrower read on demand than a day when several issuers post inflows at once. On October 26, the other Bitcoin ETFs were flat on net flow, so the headline number is IBIT's number.
The split with ether is the other notable feature of the session. On the same day Bitcoin funds added $110.34 million, ether funds lost $88.58 million, and the largest ether withdrawal was again BlackRock's product, according to PANews. The two largest U.S. crypto ETF complexes moved in opposite directions rather than rising or falling together. Solana and XRP outflows were much smaller, but they extended the same pattern of altcoin products losing assets while Bitcoin funds gained.
Prior-week context still matters. TokenPost said October 26 reversed a two-session redemption run that included $137.94 million in outflows on October 23. Cointelegraph had earlier reported that October 22 alone saw about $635 million leave Bitcoin ETFs, the largest daily outflow since June 25. Monday's inflow did not erase those withdrawals. It restored a positive daily print after two down days.
What's next
Flow figures for a single session do not show whether creations will continue. Later updates from SoSoValue, and from outlets that republish those figures, will show whether October 27 and the sessions after it stay positive or return to redemptions.
The Federal Reserve's scheduled meeting runs October 27–28, with a policy decision due on October 28, according to published FOMC calendars. CoinGabbar noted that traders were watching that decision. A rate announcement can change risk appetite, but Monday's ETF data do not indicate how funds will respond. This report records reported flows. It is not a view on prices or positioning.
