JPMorgan tokenized money funds go live on Solana
J.P. Morgan Asset Management has made two tokenized money market funds available on Solana for qualified U.S. investors, according to a company announcement issued on October 22, 2026. The products are My OnChain Net Yield Fund (MONY) and the JPMorgan OnChain Liquidity-Token Money Market Fund (JLTXX). Solana’s official account later listed the launch among headline items in an ecosystem update posted on October 25.
What happened
In a press release, the asset manager said qualified investors can subscribe to and redeem the funds through Morgan Money, its liquidity-management platform, and receive token balances at blockchain addresses. The firm published official Solana token addresses for both products. It did not disclose how much of either fund it expects to hold on Solana.
The two funds are not the same product. According to the release, MONY is a Rule 506(c) private placement intended for investors who generally qualify as both qualified purchasers and accredited investors, and it is meant to offer exposure to U.S. dollar yields. JLTXX is a U.S.-registered government money market fund that the firm says is designed to invest in a manner that supports stablecoin issuers under the GENIUS Act.
This is an expansion of existing funds, not a first appearance on a public chain. The release says that when MONY launched in December 2025, J.P. Morgan was the largest global systemically important bank to put a tokenized money market fund on a public blockchain. A May 2026 report from The Block described a filing for JLTXX on Ethereum and said the documents anticipated use on other blockchains later. Solana is now an additional public network for the suite.
On October 25, Solana’s account included the funds in a roundup of recent ecosystem activity, alongside the Alpenglow consensus upgrade and other tokenized-asset updates. The original availability announcement came three days earlier from J.P. Morgan Asset Management, not from that roundup. The same announcement was also carried on Financial Times markets.
Why it matters
The step places a large traditional asset manager’s cash products on another public chain. J.P. Morgan Asset Management reported $4.8 trillion in assets under management as of September 30, 2026, according to the release. Paul Przybylski, global head of product for digital and tokenized assets, said clients operate on more than one network and that “their liquidity should too.”
Access remains gated. The release states that MONY is for qualified investors only, and that subscriptions and redemptions run through Morgan Money rather than as an open purchase from any wallet. Publishing a token address does not mean every Solana address can buy the fund. The firm also said investors could lose money, that the funds seek to preserve a $1.00 share value but cannot guarantee it, and that the products are not bank deposits and are not insured by the FDIC.
JLTXX’s stated role is narrower than a general retail cash product. The release ties its investment approach to support for stablecoin issuers under the GENIUS Act, the U.S. stablecoin law. That frames the fund as a reserve-management tool for regulated dollar tokens, not as a stablecoin issued by the bank.
What's next
The announcement does not set a target for assets on Solana or name clients that have subscribed there. On-chain balances at the published token addresses can show supply, but they do not show who is eligible to subscribe. The firm said the Solana deployment is meant to support use of the same funds as clients expand tokenized activity across networks.
Solana’s October 25 update treated the listing as one item in a broader week of tokenized-asset and network news. Whether balances move from Ethereum, or new subscriptions arrive on Solana, is not stated in the release. Further distribution would still have to clear the investor checks the firm already applies on Morgan Money.
