Telegram Wallets: live statistics

Telegram's built-in wallet holds Gram, the coin of the TON blockchain. Every Telegram wallet is a smart contract running the same code, so Namespace counts them straight from the chain: how many exist, how many are created every day, how many are active and how much Gram they hold.

How the count works

Each Telegram wallet runs Telegram's wallet contract (a small trampoline that executes code stored in TON's network configuration). Namespace's indexer reads every TON transaction and counts each account running that code once it has been deployed, which happens with its first outgoing transaction.

Why some wallets aren't counted yet

A Telegram wallet only switches on after it receives its first 0.1 Gram, and it only appears on-chain as a deployed contract after it sends something. Wallets that were funded but never used are still uninitialized addresses, so they join the count with their first transaction.
